
Fried Bananas with Glace Ginger Icecream
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1L of good quality vanilla ice cream
- 2 tbs finely chopped glace ginger
- 80g dark chocolate, chopped
- 30g butter
- 8 bananas, peeled, halved lengthways then halved again
Method
- Allow the ice cream to soften a little. Gently mix through the ginger and return to the freezer to set.
- Melt chocolate pieces in a double bowl over simmering water. Set aside.
- Heat a barbeque flat plate or frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add the butter and melt. Add the bananas to the plate/pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until fruit is golden and softened slightly.
- Serve the bananas with a large scoop of the glace ginger ice cream and drizzle with the melted chocolate.
